Reflecting on 2024, I had some great successes in keeping up my meal habits even when introducing a child into my life. The struggle still remains traveling but I could also improve on my home and work routines. Just too many temptations that are usually born from not having a plan in advance which leads to giving into cravings.
Here is the new meal routine that I am planning for this coming year. It involves a rotation of two daily routines over six alternating days then one day to mix things up.
- Mon/Wed/Fri
- Breakfast - morning fruit and veggie shake
- Drink - coffee
- Lunch - sandwich, wrap, or chips and dip
- Drink - seltzer
- Afternoon Snack - nuts
- Drink - water
- Dinner - rice and beans dish
- Drink/Dessert - coconut based sweetened drink
- Tue/Thu/Sat
- Breakfast - soaked oats
- Drink - tea
- Lunch - fast salad
- Drink - seltzer
- Afternoon Snack - fruit or veggie
- Drink - water
- Dinner - noodle dish
- Drink/Dessert - water based sweetened drink
- Sunday
- Breakfast - cold cereal with coconut milk
- Drink - tea
- Lunch - eggs with toast or tortilla
- Drink - seltzer
- Afternoon Snack - packaged snack like crackers or popcorn
- Drink - water
- Dinner - pizza or burger or eating out
- Drink/Dessert - beer, wine, cocktail, or a proper dessert treat
